Do you gals get the APQ magazine? Mine came today, so of course I carried the groceries in the house first, and then sat on the steps and looked thru it before I could put anything away. ( I don't even know what I did with the rest of the mail-who cares)
There is a biiiiiiggg blue scrappy quilt in it called band together. Well, I have to look way past the blue as that is not my favorite quilting color...but wouldn't that quilt be a great way to use just
multicolored scrappy strips up? Oh yea, and lap size, not king. Should the setting blocks be light or dark....maybe medium to dark....and mix the lights in the strips??? I'm going to be dreaming of quilts tonight.

My magazine was waiting for me when I got home from the store tonite. I LOVE the blue quilt -- I could make one of those in every color due to my large stash . . . . oh my goodness I must use up some fabric. That quilt would be great scrappy like you said too.
ReplyDeleteIf we cut a 2 1/2 inch strip and a 3 1/2 inch strip off of every fabric we had....we could make a dozen quilts like that! And would it make a dent in the stash :o
